Once this is completed, we will register you as a community volunteer and keep your credentials in our database for public health response. Volunteer activities may include:
- Staffing vaccination and/or pharmaceutical clinics
- Working at a shelter
- Staffing a volunteer reception center
- Clerical support for emergency responders
- First aid stations
- Welfare checks
- Educating the public
- Distribution of educational materials
- Blood pressure checks
- And, many more
What is the time commitment of being a volunteer?
You can participate in as little or as many trainings and exercises as you would like. The only requirement is to attend one training session every three years. Professional development classes can count for this requirement if a certificate of completion is forwarded to the MRC Coordinator.
