Day of Caring Volunteers partner with Portage Park District

United Way of Portage County paired volunteers with agencies on June 25, 2021

United Way of Portage County's Day of Caring is an annual event in which volunteers from various sectors are paired with non-profit and government agencies to complete needed volunteer projects. Portage Park District joined the event this year - working with three volunteers from the community. Volunteers helped with plantings in the Morgan pollinator garden, prepared packets for Fish with a Cop participants, and folded annual reports and brochures. Part of the day also included a short hike and conversations about the Portage Parks, their history, and their growth.
