History and Resources

Located in western Mantua Township, this 95-acre preserve that surrounds the Aurora Branch of the Chagrin River is now protected forever as a result of a partnership between Portage Parks, Portage County, and the Western Reserve Land Conservancy. The property includes a diverse hardwood forest, meadows and wetlands. The property connects directly with other hundreds of acres of other conservation lands owned by the City of Aurora and the Audubon Society, creating an important greenway for protecting water quality and wildlife habitat.
