Preserves are open for occasional staff-guided hikes and specially permitted research and education.
History and Resources
This 10-acre preserve is adjacent to the Portage County Gardeners’ Center and Crystal Lake in Rootstown Township. It was donated by Helen Dix in 2008, contributing additional buffer for Crystal Lake, a high quality natural lake owned by the City of Ravenna and The Nature Conservancy.
