Portage County Regional Airport Launches “Art@Airport” to Celebrate Local Talent

RAVENNA, OHIO – \ April 2, 2025 – The Portage County Regional Airport is proud to unveil Art@Airport, a new initiative designed to showcase the creativity of local artists and highlight the cultural vibrancy of Northeast Ohio. The rotating exhibit, located in the airport terminal, invites the traveling public and aviation community to experience a unique blend of art and aviation.

“Airports are more than transportation hubs—they are gateways to the community,” said Robert P. Hartigan, MCA, C.M., ACE, Airport Director. “Art@Airport reflects our commitment to making Portage County Regional Airport a welcoming and inspiring space that reflects the region’s spirit.”

The inaugural installation features works from artists across Portage County, ranging from photography and painting to mixed media. The program was developed in collaboration with local arts organizations, and future exhibits will rotate quarterly to ensure broad representation of artistic voices.

Art@Airport is part of a broader effort to elevate the airport experience and connect the public to the value of general aviation. The airport continues to support community engagement, workforce development, and economic growth—making it a destination in more ways than one.
