About the County Treasurer

I am a Portage County native, attending Malone University, in Canton, receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration. I continued on to Kent State University and received a master degree in business administration (MBA) with a focus on international business.

My background includes public and private sector service. I served on Ravenna City Council for twelve years and as Ravenna’s Mayor for six years. Perhaps more importantly, I bring to the office over thirty-five years of private sector business experience. Some of my areas of expertise are analysis of budget and finance, financial modeling, cash management and investment asset management. I am honored to have been recognized at the State level for leadership in intergovernmental collaborations, cost savings best practices and leveraging technology to reduce governmental cost and enhance productivity.

My private sector career and businesses have focused on areas of business development and international trade, allowing me to have traveled to over forty countries conducting business.

I am here to do my best to enhance the Treasurer’s office process, procedure and efficiencies. I look forward to meeting you, so don’t hesitate to stop me and introduce yourself.
