Moths are one of the most diverse, beautiful, and plentiful groups of insects in Ohio. They play a critical role in the ecological food chain and the majority of species are most active at night. There is at least twenty times the number of species of moths in Ohio as there are butterflies! Certified Volunteer Naturalist, Joe DeFuria, observes and documents moth species at his home. He is bringing his mothing setup to the park for the evening. Join us to discover the moths of Towner's Woods - it will be exciting to see who visits! Participants will each receive a moth identification guide.
