We are cutting the ribbon on the grand opening of the new pavilion at Dix Park! Join park staff and volunteers for a day filled with scavenger hunts, nature challenges, guided hikes, and more! Our Story Trail partners, Reed Memorial Library, and the Portage Park District Foundation will be sharing summer fun at family-friendly tables. Discover wildlife in the Nature Play Space or spot Indigo Buntings on the new Bunting Trail! There's so much to do!
Self-paced activities will be available throughout the event from 10:30am to 2:00pm and guided hikes will step off at 11:00am, 12:00pm, and 1:00pm.
